Disney Pluto Self Portrait Character of the Month September Silver Pin 2982

Description

Pluto is the September open edition of the Disneyland Character / Pin of the month ( COM / POM ). It is larger than the Limited Edition, a Portrait that is rectangular in shape, and has a silver frame. Series: Chip & Dale #3016, Donald #2985, Ariel #2979, Alice #2983, Goofy #2981, Snow White #2986, Tinker Bell #3368, Pluto #2982, Pinocchio #2984, Minnie #2980, Maleficent #2969, Mickey #2978 It has long been rumored that the pins in this set were limited in edition to 2000. Though the set was not planned as LE 2000, no reorders on the frames were made due to it being offered only for one month, and because the frames had a habit of easily coming loose. So it is an "after-the-fact" LE 2000 pin.
Purchased an Estate Filled with Disney Pins as well as Hard Rock Pins.  Gentleman was an executive for the pin company and had many rare items as well as Artist Proofs AP and Pre-Production PP pins.  This includes Framed Sets, Box Sets and Individual items.  As well as some very rare pins and artwork.
